So different from the old spring mattress that I am used to. After a couple of days I was left wondering why I hadn't got one of these sooner! I found it is like being caressed into bed at night. No springs sticking in to me, or unusual "Boings" as I rolled over, and gone is the feeling of sleeping on a sack of spuds.
The way it is packaged is amazing. Take it out of the box (About 0.5 X 0.5 X 1.5M) and remove the wrapping and it grows before your eyes. I would love to
see how they compress it! Make sure you order the right size because there is no way you will ever get it back in the bag!
Yes it does have a foam type smell about it, but that does go after a few days, and putting up with it is worth it for the better nights sleep.
In conclusion. Well worth the money especially as others I have seen are at least double (And IKEA don't do British bed sizes in memory foam, and the closest size to a double is over £400)
My only criticism would be CityLink. Stayed in all day and they never turned up. Checked on the website and I had the right day, next morning the delivery date had changed. NO phone call, not impressed.
I would recommend the mattress though!

I knew I had to get a new mattress, but had been putting it off. Then, a friend recommended this to me, singing its praises loudly.
I ordered it on Sunday afternoon and it arrived on Monday morning! (Well done yet again Amazon). Upon arrival, I wondered if I had been sent the wrong item, as it was a fraction of the size I had expected. Anyway, I set about removing the clever packaging and the mattress which started out about 3 inches thick, quickly began to grow. Within minutes, it was up to 9 inches and after a couple of hours had reached the advertised 10 inches.
The cover was already on, so that was one less job. Now, this mattress is much firmer than I'm used to and I have to admit that at first, I was disappointed. It did not seem to offer the comfort I had craved. In fact, the first couple of nights I found it difficult to get to sleep. However, for some reason, by Friday I was sleeping like a baby. The mattress offers real support and comfort. I now like the firmer feel. It is different to a sprung mattress. I think its better.
The mattress arrived with two free memory foam pillows (which are very expensive if purchased separately), but I do not get on with them. I have reverted to standard pillows, but might try them again in the future.
A mattress is a very personal choice, but I would recommend this. I can imagine that it would be ideal if you suffer from neck or back problems, but it is great for people without these ailments as well. The only thing I would say is, be prepared to give it a while to get used to it. If you're like me, you'll be pleased you did.

I have had a mattress topper in the past but decided I wanted a proper memory foam mattress. I bought the Hypnia after reading other reviews and because it was good value for money.
I can only describe the experience of sleeping on the mattress as like sleeping on a firm cloud - it is so comfortable and the pillows are fantastic (and free!) my partner says he wakes feeling better every day. we could never go back to a normal mattress!
